Pour the Smugglers Gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup into a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice and shake until the outside of the shaker becomes frosty. Double strain the liquid into a Champagne flute and top with your Champagne of choice. To create the lemon twist garnish, slice a ring of lemon from the middle of the fruit, around a centimetre thick. Cut through one half of the ring towards the centre and proceed to slice around the outside of the fruit, separating the peel from the pulp inside. Feel free to trim the edges of your peel depending on how perfect you want the lemon twist to look. Then twist the piece of peel around your finger, or a long object. Once the peel has moulded into shape, use it to garnish your Smugglers French 75 for an impressively polished finish.
